We get it… NOBODY wants to deal with a hard sell. For anything.
Forget shopping for a home AC system. People don’t want to be “sold” anything these days.
As a result, people tend to avoid the “free, in-home inspection” when looking around for A/C systems because they think they know what’s coming…
We hear it all the time: “Can you just give me an estimate over the phone”?
We understand why people ask this, but it’s the absolute WORST thing you can ask for if you want to maximize your investment in a new AC system for your home.
Here are 5 reasons to request an inspection prior to a quote:
Reason #1 – You need to know more than just square footage
Despite what some might tell you, it takes more than a “rule of thumb” to calculate the best system based solely on square footage.
A good estimate is based on science, not rules of thumb.
Reason #2 – You need to have ALL your equipment inspected
Just because your system is 10+ years older or more doesn’t mean ALL of the equipment is in the same condition. Some parts of your AC system may still be usable, but you’ll never know if someone doesn’t inspect it first before giving you an estimate.
Reason #3 – Your original system may have been poorly designed
Replacing a system is not as simple as just putting in the same equipment that was there already. The original system may have been poorly designed in the first place.
Improvements in your system design may make your home more comfortable than ever before.
Reason #4 – You may be able to solve long-standing comfort problems
Almost every home has some type of comfort issue such as hotspots in certain rooms, too much humidity, dust or allergens (just to name a few).
Having an in-home inspection allows us to evaluate WHY those problems are occurring and make sure that our system design recommendation gives you options for solving those problems – for good!
Reason #5 – All equipment is not created equal
Trane, Goodman, Amana, Carrier… how’s a customer supposed to choose? Well, you can do your research to start, but nothing beats a face to face discussion about the differences between each type of equipment.
There are about 1,000 reasons why we’ve chosen to partner with Trane for all of our new equipment installations, and during an in-home inspection, we can show you most of those so you understand the differences.
